A long time before the beginning of the financial crisis, the New Economics Foundation (NEF) had shown the financial system’s failure in the United Kingdom. Bit by bit, investors are leaving the underpriviledged regions, undermining the situation of people living there. This report also claims that public authorities should promote community banking as a solution to the crisis.

The report shows possible solutions, like opening up lending to small firms, or setting up a grant fund to support them, etc.
